Abstract Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, who sent the prophets and messengers as good tidings and warners, and sent His Noble Messenger, Muhammad (may God bless him and his family and grant them peace), with guidance and the religion of truth, to proclaim it over all religion. Glory be to our Lord, who did not take a wife or a son, and He is the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. The study of religions, nations, and the history of peoples, especially research into their public and private conditions, whether they are groups, communities or sects, is among the most wonderful studies. There is no doubt that religion is a necessity for every human being, whether for primitive or civilized peoples. That is why we must study the geography, migrations, cities and peoples for the Armenian community.

Christians, who are the followers of the Prophet Jesus (Peace be upon him), on the other hand, constitute not a small statistic number among the sects and beliefs that exist in Egypt. The study of the public life of the Armenians and consequently their history, and historical concepts and religious beliefs, civilization and politics, prompts us to identify their upbringing and roots, their religion, migrations and civilization and the most prominent of their contributions in Egypt.

This dissertation dealt with the study of (the Armenians of Egypt in the Eras of the Fatimid and Ayyubid States (358-648 AH/968-1250 AD): a Study of their General Conditions). The significance of this topic was represented in that the Arab- Islamic civilization is a coexisting human civilization linked to the human being, thus giving an image to the global societies as having an integrative, humane, ethical message stemming from a heavenly sharia. This study aims to give a clear picture of the Armenians in the Fatimid and Ayyubid eras, and it is an attempt to identify their situation in the country of their exile, Egypt, and to highlight their social, economic, cultural and political aspects, and in the same context, my personal desire to study this topic once I completed my MA study as it contains historical mysteries represented in the nature of the relations that link Armenians with the Fatimid and Ayyubid states. Among the reasons that prompted me to choose the topic is that it is being discussed for

the first time, given that the Armenians are among the important societies in history and this society was not highlighted in its various aspects, especially in the Fatimid and Ayyubid eras. We also aspire to enrich the Iraqi, Arab and international library with this rare study. The settlement of the Armenians in Egypt resulted in an important historical point in the life of the Armenians, and the C social, economic and civilizational presence they witnessed and important political fluctuations, especially in the era of the N Fatimid state and the era of the Ayyubid state, as that period witnessed the weakness of the Abbasid state.
